Air Arabia will restart daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, India, starting October 16, 2026. This route revival will reestablish a direct connection between the UAE emirate and the coastal city in Kerala. The airline announced the service resumption on October 6, and passengers are now able to book flights. The daily flights will link Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport in southern India.

According to Air Arabia, the route restart will provide travelers with direct daily access between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is situated on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The airline did not release specific departure and arrival times in its October 6 statement, nor did it specify aircraft types or flight numbers for the resumed daily service. Those details were not included in the latest announcement either.
Adel Al Ali, group CEO of Air Arabia, expressed satisfaction at restoring the direct route. He highlighted that the daily flights will offer a convenient link between the two cities. Al Ali also emphasized the airline’s commitment to providing reliable travel options and fostering community connections. The route’s return was driven by travel demand between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, although passenger forecasts or traffic figures were not disclosed.
Daily Flights Reinstate Kerala Link
The Kozhikode route expands Air Arabia’s nonstop offerings from Ras Al Khaimah, which currently includes destinations such as Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. The reintroduced service to India will add to this list starting October 16. Since establishing operations at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, Air Arabia has maintained the emirate as one of its UAE bases.
The airline initially launched nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode on November 22, 2023, operating three times weekly with Airbus A320 aircraft on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The 2026 restart will see the route operate daily, although the airline has not confirmed whether the previous flight numbers or departure times will be retained.
Tickets Now Available Before October Launch
Passengers can purchase tickets through Air Arabia’s website, call center, or travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed at the route’s announcement on October 6. The airline did not specify when the service was previously suspended or the reason for the interruption. Fare details, operating hours, or aircraft specifics for the new daily schedule were also not disclosed, with the statement focusing mainly on the restart date, frequency, and city pair.
The October 16 restart marks nearly three years since the Kozhikode route first launched. It will once again offer a direct, nonstop link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala. While the airline confirmed daily flights from the restart date, other schedule specifics remain undisclosed. Travelers seeking exact timings, flight numbers, or fares should consult the airline’s booking channels for current information. No additional route changes have been announced.
