Variable aperture enhances camera control
The A20 Pro chip is built on a 2-nanometer process, featuring a six-core CPU and a seven-core GPU. It also includes a Dual 16-core Neural Engine with a total of 32 cores dedicated to AI tasks. Apple claims the GPU offers up to 40% faster performance than the A19 Pro. The new vapor chamber design increases surface area, enhancing sustained performance. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread via Apple’s N1 wireless chip.
Battery life sees improvements across the iPhone 18 Pro range. Apple rates eSIM-only versions of the Pro for up to 36 hours of video playback, while the Pro Max can reach 45 hours.
