    UAE and Germany Forge Extensive Economic Partnership Valued at 9.66 Billion Euros

    BERLIN / RankWire.AI / – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with leading German corporate figures in Berlin to boost cross-border investment and strengthen trade ties between the two nations. Emphasizing the UAE’s strategic role as a logistics hub and its investor-friendly policies, Sheikh Mohamed encouraged German industry leaders to broaden their investments across Middle Eastern and global markets. The dialogue highlighted emerging commercial prospects stemming from recent bilateral agreements in manufacturing, renewable energy, and digital innovation.

    Focus was placed on deepening economic and trade relations, with particular attention to the private sector’s role in fostering innovation, artificial intelligence, and clean energy projects. Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to maintaining a competitive investment climate through supportive legislation, advanced regulatory infrastructure, and access to international logistics networks. As bilateral non-oil trade hit €13.4 billion, the meeting underscored the growing economic integration linking European manufacturing centers with Middle Eastern trade corridors.

    The discussions coincided with the Munich-based bilateral business forum, where government officials and corporate representatives signed 30 memoranda of understanding and commercial agreements worth €9.66 billion. Official statements from the Emirates News Agency indicated these accords focus on high-growth sectors such as advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, robotics, healthcare technology, and port infrastructure. UAE Minister for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi highlighted that the total UAE investments in Germany have surged to €34.5 billion, reflecting robust institutional capital flows between the two economies.

    German business representatives expressed strong enthusiasm about expanding their operations within the UAE, citing its strategic position as a key trade route connecting European exports to markets in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Industry leaders discussed initiatives aimed at advancing joint research in green hydrogen, industrial automation, and strengthening digital infrastructure resilience.

    The official visit included bilateral economic talks led by Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Katherina Reiche and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Both nations announced the initiation of a new Strategic Dialogue, revitalizing the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership first established in 2004. This framework will guide cooperation on international security, clean energy, transportation, and defense sectors.

    Delegates Examine Corporate Strategies Across High-Growth Industries

    The Emirati delegation featured senior cabinet officials, regional sheikhs, and industry executives, participating in specialized panels focused on diversifying supply chains. Leadership reaffirmed plans to establish ongoing working groups to oversee project progress and simplify regulatory procedures for cross-border investments.

    Updates on regulatory approvals, joint venture milestones, and trade data will be shared via official government channels. Joint steering committees will convene regularly to monitor the implementation of the €9.66 billion deal package as bilateral economic cooperation advances.
