SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce direct flights between Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four weekly services, this route enhances the airline’s link between the UAE and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, the main airport for Jordan’s capital. The new route offers passengers an alternative Amman airport option within the airline’s Sharjah network and broadens its scheduled Jordan connections.

Flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return, G9 170, leaves Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Bookings are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies.
This addition strengthens Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network, which includes routes from Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, flights from Alexandria International Airport connect to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah service will extend the group’s Amman City Airport operations to another UAE departure point while maintaining its current Jordan routes.
Air Arabia increases access to two Amman airports
According to Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali, the new route offers travelers a second airport choice in the Jordanian capital. He emphasized the added convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the route on October 8, more than a month prior to its scheduled launch. The new service will run alongside existing Sharjah flights to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own Amman City Airport route, starting on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This service also includes Queen Alia International Airport, providing two options for travelers from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia reported that these two Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman upon launch.
Sharjah route adds four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
Using flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new Sharjah service follows a fixed schedule of four flights per week. Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. The airline also features its SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu, and Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can book the new Amman City Airport flights ahead of the November 15 launch through the airline’s established sales channels.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s Jordan connectivity via Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also serves both airports, while Alexandria maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport. The November launch will add four weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further strengthening the group’s regional network.
